Boosting hydrogen evolution reaction on few-layer graphdiyne by sp-N and B co-doping

چکیده
Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts based on noble metals traditionally suffered from high cost, low activity, and poor stability. Metal-free originating heteroatom-doped carbon materials have been proposed to address these problems, in which the doping configurations electronic structures are critical for modulating electrocatalytic activity. Herein, we reported a sequential approach co-doping of B N atoms into graphdiyne (GDY). We noticed that heteroatoms strongly related process, subsequent HER test shows certain sp-N can decrease overpotential, further introduction continuously enhance current density owing synergistic effect chemical couplings proton adsorption/reduction kinetics. This work provides deeper understanding developing dual heteroatom doped non-metallic catalysts.

Electrocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution Reaction on Edges of a Few Layer Molybdenum Disulfide Nanodots.
The design and development of inexpensive highly efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen production underpins several emerging clean-energy technologies. In this work, for the first time, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanodots have been synthesized by ionic liquid assisted grinding exfoliation of bulk platelets and isolated by sequential centrifugation. The nanodots have a thickness of up to 7 la...
متن کاملDegenerate n-doping of few-layer transition metal dichalcogenides by potassium.
We report here the first degenerate n-doping of few-layer MoS2 and WSe2 semiconductors by surface charge transfer using potassium. High-electron sheet densities of ~1.0 × 10(13) cm(-2) and 2.5 × 10(12) cm(-2) for MoS2 and WSe2 are obtained, respectively. In addition, top-gated WSe2 and MoS2 n-FETs with selective K doping at the metal source/drain contacts are fabricated and shown to exhibit low...
متن کاملStable p- and n-type doping of few-layer graphene/graphite
ZnMg and NbCl5 were intercalated in graphite and the presence of such molecules between the graphene sheets results in nand p-type doping, respectively. The doping effect is confirmed by Hall and Raman measurements and the intercalation process is monitored by scanning tunneling microscopy. After intercalation the carrier concentration increase almost an order of magnitude and reaches values as...
متن کاملEffect of Doping on Hydrogen Evolution Reaction of Vanadium Disulfide Monolayer
As cheap and abundant materials, transitional metal dichalcogenide monolayers have attracted increasing interests for their application as catalysts in hydrogen production. In this work, the hydrogen evolution reduction of doped vanadium disulfide monolayers is investigated based on first-principles calculations. We find that the doping elements and concentration affect strongly the catalytic a...
متن کاملPreparation of Ni-P-CeO2 electrode and study on electrocatalytic properties for hydrogen evolution reaction
In this study ternary Ni-P-CeO2 catalysts were first synthesized by the Co-electrodeposition method on a copper substrate and then characterized by means of microstructural and electrochemical techniques toward a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Also, for comparison other catalysts such as Ni-CeO2, Ni-P, and Ni were prepared and characterized by the same methods. The microstructure of the inv...
